UPARC Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Upper Pinellas Association for Retarded Citizens, Inc., to enhance the dignity and independence of persons who are developmentally disabled in the Upper Pinellas area.
The Upper Pinellas Association for Retarded Citizens is dedicated to enabling individuals with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities to choose and realize their goals of where and how to live, learn, work, and play.
The Upper Pinellas Association for Retarded Citizens, Inc. is further committed to supporting the families of individuals served, realizing that the family is the central unit of society.
The Upper Pinellas Association for Retarded Citizens is committed to providing leadership to the community by assisting efforts to understand and empower individuals with developmental disabilities by providing the full use of appropriate community services.
