Community Based Options

The Community Based Options classrooms are dedicated to increasing the independence of the individuals served, in areas that include communication, socialization, daily living, current events and community involvement.

 

It is during their classroom meetings that the consumers’ voice their opinions about the different activities that they want to participate in. The classroom participates in many social and recreational activities that entice the individuals served to increase their skills in these areas.

CBO serves individuals who are 21 or older with developmental and physical disabilities. Each classroom is staffed with an instructor and an assistant.

This classroom and the individual’s day to day experiences are based primarily on the choices of the individuals and they are provided in a dignified and enriching way.
